An act to add Section 2602 to the Penal Code, relating to
prisoners.

AB 369, as introduced, Havice. Prisoners: rights.
Existing law specifies the terms and conditions of imprisonment
for persons sentenced to the state prison.
This bill would provide that a person sentenced to imprisonment in
the state prison does not have a right to, and shall not be allowed,
conjugal visits, and does not have a right to, and shall not be
allowed, to watch television.
Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: yes.
State-mandated local program: no.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 2602 is added to the Penal Code, to read:
2602. (a) A person sentenced to imprisonment in the state prison
does not have a right to, and shall not be allowed, conjugal visits.
(b) A person sentenced to imprisonment in the state prison does
not have a right to, and shall not be allowed, to watch television.
